🍄 ・ hi! :] here’s an introduction to metanoia! (psst, this is written by joanne, the janitor that owns this server /hj) 🌿 ・ we are a fully sfw, mental health support community that aims to bring people together through shared experiences, and supporting one another! 🌻 ・ the goal of metanoia was never meant to be a permanent place, think of it more like a little quiet place where you go to when you need support (whether it’s to yell into void — yes we technically do have a void — or a warm fuzzy hug!). you’re welcome to come and go, or stay for as long as you like :] 🌱 ・ we have a wide variety of support channels, an active support system, and an active moderation team that keeps the server’s environment safe and conducive! :D we all put in a lot of effort in maintaining the safety of every member because shrugs a lot of servers don’t actually enforce their rules very well which exposes many to content they didn’t sign up for, and none of us want that for anyone in the server so we all make an effort to prevent that from happening :] 💐 ・ my favourite part about the server is the members! :] we’re more like a family if anything and members have mentioned that they feel like home here :’) and honestly i have to agree. the server is also canonically a forest so jazz hands go figure. (we also have many ponds and clearings with mushrooms as little stools where we gather /nsrs lh) although i do have to warn you that chaos is an integral part of our community so take this as you final, and only warning /exg lh jokes aside, ahem, a lil background about the server by me; 🌙 ・ i created the server with the intent of creating a safe space for anyone and everyone to interact. metanoia was created during the peak of quarantine, in late May 2020, and it was a very volatile and uncertain for everyone in the world. i wanted to create a space for me and my friends, and eventually open it up to anyone who needed a place where they could get the support that they needed. no one deserves to go through life feeling completely alone, and i wanted to create a space that would help take away a bit of that loneliness; to make someone feel like they belonged somewhere. and i really hope you find that here :] /gen 🪴 ・ with that, thank you for taking the time to read this! i hope you have a wonderful day! much love, joanne ♡
