How discord webhooks work

Discord webhooks allow automated messages and data updates to be sent to a text channel in a server. They can be created by clicking on a channel, then on the Edit Channel button, and selecting Create Webhook. The webhook URL can then be copied and used to send messages to the chosen channel.
